THE DEVELOPMENTBefore delving into the creative and technical aspects, it is crucial for us to fully understand the client's vision, the values of its brand or product, the goal to achieve and the budget available to do so. This approach allows us to create a targeted and valuable content that resonates with the client's needs.
PRE-PRODUCTIONIn this phase, every detail comes together: from the script to the casting, from the location scouting to the shooting planning, everything is meticulously organized to turn the idea into reality. Here, the solid foundation upon which the success of every project stands still is carefully and precisely laid.
PRODUCTIONDuring the production phase, the set comes alive with the creative and technical energy necessary to bring each story to life. Every shot and every detail is handled with care. Direction, lighting, sound recording and the actors' performance: all blends together in harmony, bringing to life the creative vision.
POST-PRODUCTIONFollowing the shooting, the post-production phase begins. The footage is handed over to the editing squad, where the right creative choices are made to give the story the necessary pace to make it compelling and unique. Once the goal is achieved the color grading, sound mixing, and graphics professional figures add the final touches to the product.
We are a video production and post-production company based in Rome, founded by professionals with over ten years of experience in TV. We go by the name "Why" because we believe that understanding the reason, the "why" that drives an idea, a brand, a product, is the key to creating an authentic content. We have mixed together years of experience and different skills to achieve the highest standards in the industry and to provide our clients the best we can offer, telling their stories in the most creative way possible. To accomplish this, we rely on the help and support of colleagues we have met during our careers: filmmakers, directors of photography, producers, authors, TV and film screenwriters. Impeccable professionals, trusted friends, they form with us the perfect team to complete every project with enthusiasm, dedication, and boundless passion.
Born in Rome in 1986, I've studied film direction in London. The last day of school my teacher said to me: "If you want to direct an orchestra, first learn to play an instrument". So I started a career as video editor for television, signing TV shows and documentaries for the major Italian networks. Now, after 13 years, I'm finally putting the "instrument" aside and trying to direct an orchestra with my two fellows.
marco.rizzari@whytales.comBorn (in '86) and raised in Prato, living in Rome, I have a Master degree in TV writing obtained in Milan. I work as author in some programs you may have seen on television. Obsessed since forever with seriality and writing, I look for ideas and often I find them. Otherwise I harass my colleagues to find them together.
francesca.giorgetti@whytales.comBorn in Knin in 1970, I graduated from the School of Cinema and TV Production in Belgrade, where I lived until I moved to Rome when I was 32. I'm a documentary and tv director and the set is my natural environment. My favorite thing in the world is to create cohesive work teams with whom, possibly, I can go have a drink together at the end of the day.
